draw anything, paint anything

There is this saying I've heard a while back and on occasion hear it now and again. "Draw anything, paint anything." It is advice I've given my two nieces who said that they wanted to draw like I do but don't know what to draw. One of my nieces used to challenge me because she didn't believe that I could draw, she and my dad thought the drawings I did were from coloring books instead but I showed her and my mom told my dad that I was the one who drew that picture. I took those as compliments I've always wanted to work for the Mouse named Mickey.

Of course they were toddlers, and in elementary school at the time, so by now their interests have changed. However I do have 3 more who are interested in drawing.
