Nasty comments already.

I decided to put up a couple of my paintings for sale, plus advertise that I have prints for sale also, on Craig's list when about a week later I got an email comment from some unknown person with this comment:
"So your one of those presumptuous artists, who think that their stuff is worth more than what it is.  Too bad you don't have talent, but I'll only pay $15.00." then they made some vulgar comments about my body parts and put a "lol" as though I was supposed to laugh.  The first thing I did after reading it, unfortunately, deleted it.  Then I tried to ignore it, I told myself  'What would make that moron think I'd sell him or her anything after receiving a comment like that?

I will say one thing though, as you put your stuff up for sale, you will run the risk of having nasty people attack you and your work whether they know you or not.  The best thing to do is delete the comment if you can or try and block that person.  Try not to take what they say to heart, I know it's not easy.  I got stuck with the word presumptuous for 3 days.  I started to doubt my pricing but I had to tell myself that they didn't matter.  Remember people that want to spread hate have nothing better to do, that is what they do to validate themselves.  Try not to fall for it, think of it this way if 100 people see your stuff and like it and only 3 don't I'd focus on the 100.  Even if they don't leave comments that is still a plus on your part.
