However all this is supposed to lead up to a new web site I found called painting-course.com taught by an American teacher, teaching abroad his name is Jeremiah Pollichek (if I spelled his last name right). His lessons seem simple, to practice is to draw anything, draw everything. He requires his students to find a goal and path to what type of art they are interested in and to find an artist to study.
Look to the greats like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio e.t.c, and study their lives and actually copy their work if you can, (but don't try to sell it as your own.) Jeremiah also suggest to his students to create and essay about the artist you've chosen and to also create a blog to discuss what you've learned and show your work.
That is where I got this idea to blog my own art history. (thanks teach).
